It's a little more difficult to use than I thought it would be. I have made some adjustments to the process and I will get better.

"I can't draw" says the voice in my head. I honestly bought The Lucy drawing tool 4 months ago and watched the box collect dust on my coffee table. Last week, I finally got the courage to open the box, assemble the tool, and go through the intro lessons. Guess what? I CAN draw. I am excited to get into the library of classes and learn more.
Very helpful is capturing the nuances of life for someone who's not so naturally gifted with rendering proportions.
It threw me off a little, but I figured it out.
I like the product. Sometimes it's hard to get fine detail but for outlining, it's works very well.
I don’t get a very clear image but just enough to get basic details down. Haven’t used a Lucy in many, many years. It was similar concept to this one. Old one had small glass interchangeable lenses you could look thru. Used in the 80’s! This drawing is my first attempt. I like it so far. Need to hit the blacks now but I’m afraid to ruin it! Trying to remember an old art teacher said, “never be afraid to create!” Easier said than done!
The Lucy drawing tool makes it far easier to draw my reference image and speeds up the process for me to begin the challenge of actually beginning the painting. I've used several methods in the past and would always be overwhelmed with the time needed prior to actually begin the process of putting paint down. Now I look forward to the whole process.

Some good information for beginners, I'm still working through it to find new information (granted I'm a BFA in art so there is not much I don't already know) the Lucy tool is all new to me though.

I haven't drawn in twenty years, but the Draw Lucy making a camera lucida accessible on an adjustable arm has helped me get my confidence back as an artist. I told myself I'd make a lot more progress in the online lessons than I have, but I'm still proud of myself for getting started. I joke that tracing photographs is kind of like making my own coloring books, but it's been a game changer to help me get right to my favorite part of making art: playing with colors. I've left my Draw Lucy clamped permanently to my desk to lower the threshold of executive function needed to go from "I feel like making some art" to "hey look, I made some art!" and it's worked wonders for my mental health. Pairs perfectly with a good audiobook. I have been recommending this left and right! (Also, the photo I'm sharing is artwork I made from a Nat Geo photography book I got at the library, and credit for the original cardinal photo goes to Tim Flach.)
I absolutely love this! It's made my olein air and stick drawing much easier. It's easy to use and helps when you want to quickly draw a scene.

Sketching has always been fun for me, but I always wanted more detail out of a photo then just through my own eye; the Lucy makes it better as you can see from the photo I provided. Marilyn

I have only used it a few times, so I'm definitely a newbie with the Lucy Tool. It is an incredibly helpful tool for visual reference when outlining and spacing. I'm looking forward to getting tips from the learning hub and practicing with it.

With Lucy I was able to paint this for my daughter's guest bathroom.
We love the Lucy! It’s so fun and very relaxin. Instead of watching TV we draw and chat. And then we talk and watercolor them. I love to draw and paint but I am terrible at perspective so sometimes my art was just silly. With Lucy, I feel proud of what I have done. SO FUN !
The Lucy is fun to use and really helps with proportion. It is a helpful tool to help bring your drawing to life. As with everything, it takes a little time and practice. This was my first drawing with my Lucy, can't wait to do another one!
I'm inept at drawing and with Lucy I can actually see a resemblance in my portrait!

I absolutely love this tool. I am still learning all the ways I can use it. It is really helping me understand how I can improve my drawing which will lead to better paintings. I use my Lucy to draw something in my sketchbook and then draw it without using the Lucy and compare the two which helps me improve.

I decided to purchase the Lucy Mini last year and so far I have really enjoyed it! When I first got it I had a bit of a difficult time learning to use it. I later purchased the Lucy Drawing Course and it helped tremendously! It is now really fun to use! It does take some time and patience, but it works really well! I am still learning how to use it, but I am excited. The Lucy Drawing Course works wonderfully, and I definitely recommend buying it! This is what the Lucy helped me draw in the Lucy Drawing Course.
The Lucy drawing course is a simple and very helpful tool to help anyone looking to improve their artistic skills. I am a creative and artistic person, but have never taken an art class in my life. I can create art pieces that are pretty, but I am never satisfied with the finished product because I feel I am lacking specific skills that would amplify my creations and give them depth. The simple steps the Lucy drawing course teaches you help you think of skills that professional artists subconsciously have in mind. I never would have known to look at the empty space around objects as a tool to help perfect your drawing. The Lucy in itself is an amazing tool to help everyday people increase their artistic skills. Adding the Lucy drawing course increases confidence in one�s own abilities as an artist. I highly recommend using the Lucy drawing course as a way to quickly increase your skills as an artist and give you the confidence to create original works or art!
I should note that I�ve never taken an art class (not even in high school) because I don�t like doing things I�m not good at; it makes me feel embarrassed and awkward. However, the Lucy drawing course showed me that I can learn to draw! I was pleasantly surprised how much better my drawing was in just an hour! I walked away from the experience excited to learn more and continue to practice the skills I was taught.
Make sure to CALL to cancel your free sub. There’s not a button for some reason. They answered on a Sunday night after two or three phone rings

We’re typically not open on weekends, but we do try to go above and beyond when something seems especially urgent.
Ive been charged for some trial we havent even started and customer support hasnt answred my email
