I love my Lucy! I've taken up watercolor painting and using my Lucy has been a game changer; you can see from the photo that I've been productive! I watched the videos when I first received my product and was able to use the Lucy right away. All the paintings in the atttached photo have been done using my Lucy.
Love the new Lucy photo copier. This pic doesn't do the painting justice. I printed a 4x6 pic and copied it to a 12x16 canvas. It took a whole afternoon and part of the next morning to get the likeness the way I wanted. I'm very happy with the result. I no longer need large format prints, tracing paper, carbon paper, and a stylist to transfer photos to canvas. Lucy makes it simple.
I have drawn and wood burn self taught for years and this tool made getting the right perspective and outline easier than free handing the drawing and I added all the detail. Great tool for wood burning projects!
I love the lucy drawing tool! I used a photograph to trace the image on a large piece of water color paper. I did this to watercolor the image. It's really simple to use once I got the hang of it
The enlarger comes in handy for larger projects.
With the lucy I am able to make my initial tracing onto wood for my woodburns much faster and with more detail than ever before, therefore increasing both speed and quality of my work that I sell at wheeliewoodcraft.com!
I am 73 years old and have been trying to learn to draw from pictures. It had not been working until I tried the Lucy Photo Enlarger. It is still a work in progress but I am learning. I like the bag so I can carry it to my painting and drawing classes for additional help from my teachers.
I received the Lucy as a Christmas present. I have not had the opportunity to really use it yet but I played with it a little and still getting the hang of it. Since I first saw them, I wanted one. This is going to be a name changer in my drawings and watercolors!
This is great for allowing you to put a picture on you're lucy and view it with a lens and works amazingly. The bag is also great and allows for easy travel. I personally have my lens' in a protective case I then carry in the bag as I don't want them breaking. thank you again for helping inspire me to use my creation energy for a good purpose. - Xorplon
The bag for the Lucy is great. Keeps all the part safe and secure
The carrying bag was very durable and fit many other art materials other than Lucy.
It got here fast helps alot with my drawings
Flex and enlarger are
The bag is top notch! Well constructed. Accommodates the Lucy Drawing Tool very nicely.
The photo enlarger is also well built. I used it to enlarge the photo I drew. It worked perfectly! I recommend getting this add on when you buy the Lucy!
It’s so much fun, even for a artist like myself. Much easier to just dream while you draw rather than take your time to do it yourself!
The piece isn’t
Finished yet but I used the Lucy to transfer the dogs on the canvas. Made getting the proportions right much easier.
Love my Lucy, it made getting the initial sketch down fast so I could then get the colours down. It saves time doing the outlines.
The enlarger is the primary reason that I bought the Lucy. I am getting the hang of it. It is much better than trying to trace an enlarged photo in a vertical position.
I have to say this is the best investment I ever placed. Wow, this really made a difference. I save a lot of time drawing and my drawings are a lot better. The proportions are accurate. No more drawing in the dark for me. The little booklet and the videos were very helpful and clear. Excellent service without speaking with anyone. I would recommend this tool to everyone that wants to learn how to draw or even just to make your sketch prior to painting your subject. Love it. Thank you for making this tool.
Very easy to use and quality piece of equipment! Looking forward to using on more wildlife paintings!
I received my Lucy Mini BUT there was no manual included! I understand that you have videos on line but I am a reading learner and would appreciate physical papers to read and re-read. Please send me the manual so I can begin learning how to use my Lucy. Thank you.
I love the ability to work with a photo, takes a little time but saves time.
Love the simplicity of Lucy because I am not mechanically inclined. Still toying with it and am seeing improvement every time I use it.
As someone who loves to draw and paint, this has speeded up the process immensely. No longer do I need rulers, grids, or math. I can simply sketch quickly and get to painting. My sketches are accurate and proportioned properly. A great tool!
Awesome!!! Really helps to draw something or anything you want. The good part, you can draw way above your pay grade. Really love it. I tell everyone about LUCIDArt.
It's fun and simple....I do have trouble with the lighting.....I'm glad I ordered it.....I would recommend it.
Works as advertised.
Great value and a time saver . Works great . Takes a while to get used to it but overall great buy.
It does take a little getting used to but is very effective for producing good sketches. It does work very well.
The photo inlarger is great for recreting old family photos. Any photo bigger than a 5 by 7 inches this item doesn't really work great for but those classic candid family photos from years ago work great. The bag is nice and supplies many pockets for the different accessories. Over all it is a good add on piece.
I am now able to produce a drawing of anything I want to! This one was from an online photo. But I'm also going to be using it for live subjects soon! The OLD MASTERS were right, of course
I am working on some small watercolor drawings and Lucy helps me with proportions.
With both the Lucy and the Photo enlarger I am having a difficult time in seeing my hand to draw. The photo enlarger makes the photo so large that it doesn't fit on the paper I want to transfer it to. I have wondered if the fact that I wear glasses has anything to do with my struggle. Sure could use some help figuring this out. The concept is good but its just not working for me. I would hate to put it away to gather dust as its not an inexpensive tool.
I use this for getting my initial drawing on paper. It does take some getting used to using. You need patience. The image is light, but the tool is only an aid. It won't draw the picture for you. This type of device was used by some of the great masters, so it's good enough for me.
