I am new to art work for my car projects. This has been a big help.

I have just begun using my Lucy and finding my way with it. I expect it will be a valuable tool for me going forward. I primarily paint and purchased Lucy to help sketch prior to painting. From what I've seen so far, Lucy is just what I wanted.

Still haven’t figured out how to make it work

The lucy bounces around a bit with the flex cable when you put your eye up to it making it hard to keep the tracing aligned. Difficult to use when drawing in nature because you also need a very stable table.

Have an off brand similar to Lucy, didn't care for the way it worked. Very happy with my DrawLucy. Better visuals than with the off brand, easier to use and sharper images.

My very first picture with Lucy was wonderful!

It is a little difficult difficult to use. I’m having trouble enlarging what I want to draw. I haven’t put as much time in it as I should’ve but I will.

Once I was able to find a good place to set Lucy up, I have widened my watercolor experience. I am THRILLED.

Hard for me to use… a lot of jockeying around to find the right size and clarity. Quality materials but not for me.

Just not user friendly. I wanted to love it.

I love my Lucy I am exploring my new drawing abilities with still life and pictures that I have taken years ago. I am so glad I decided to take that step and buy my Lucy. I’m having challenges trying to use the Lucy Need help please.

I’m not really satisfied with Lucy it’s difficult to use even eith the magnifier

First, I’d like to say that there is a direct number to the company, and both times I called, the reception was polite and tried to be helpful. I was sent a label to return my product due to a manufacturing issue. During my first call, I was told how to fix it, but the instructions didn’t help. Another issue I found was that the viewing lens was very small.

Drawing animals has always been a challenge. Getting the proportions correct and the basic shapes has been elusive and at times frustrating. The Lucy Drawing tool allowed me to get the basics down and then I went to town on the details. These two sketches of my sister's puppies capture their playful nature and their unique personalities. The videos on how to set it up were easy to follow and fast. Cannot wait to start more portraits and explore all the possibilities the Lucy Drawing Tool will allow!

I am so excited to try this!! I got it delivered in great time, but was getting ready to go out of country. When I got home, I had a family wedding out of state!! Now, I am home and getting ready to set this up. I love to paint, but I’m not great at drawing. So, I’m way excited to try this!! I loved it the second it was in my hands!!!

I found the tool great to use on any canvases 9x12 or smaller. Using 8x10 photos caused distortion. I will still try using it as I have not tried the 4x6 photo enlarger.

Waste of money

I have had it a little while and am struggling to set it up and struggling to get the concept of how it works I know it’s me I have watched the video but it still eludes me

For me it took a little time to dial it in. Now I figured it out I can really test my abilities. I’m no artist by any means but I’m hoping this will help in what I lack and be able to sketch landscapes when I build my model railroad. I’m excited to see just how far I can go with the help of my Lucy.

How do I order an enlarger for my kit?

My sister bought the Lucy Flex for me as a surprise. I’m an artist and use a grid pattern for drawing my reference photo onto the canvas. She thought it would be much easier and quicker for me to have a drawing tool. It took about 20 minutes to figure out how to position my reference photo and the canvas. Once I figured it out, watch me now! I’m in love with the Lucy Flex. It’s a very clever design and well-made.

Pretty cool tool! I found it easy to use. I pointed it at my computer screen so I could trace art that I’d done on my ipad.

I'm a senior and found I couldn't get it to work right so I returned it. Even watching the videos didn't help.

I was so disappointed. The tip of my pencil “disappears “ and I can’t seem to see what I am doing.

I am not happy with the Lucy tool. Doesn’t work well for tracing photos or art. How can I return.

I can't get to work it at all. I keep coming up with two images and the shade is awful.

The Lucy Flex was pretty easy to use. These are the first two drawings made with it. I always wanted to do portraits, this tool is making that possible.

Have not had luck with this at all,followed video,no luck, blurry drawings look terrible. A huge amount of money for what you receive. I'm afraid waste of money at this point

I bought the Lucy for my son who absolutely loves it. We originally bought the competitor camera lucidia and had it to send it back. He said that one was too hard to use. Yours is easy to use and he is much happier with yours. We are so happy that our son is enjoying it so much! We appreciate he quality of your product. This was for my 14y old old daughters birthday. She loves to draw and paint and do everything crafty. She loves it. She looked at me in disbelief when we got all setup and she looked through it.

Lovely tool for drawing , took me a few days to figure it out but now ! All ok .

Now this tool.is easy to use, once you learn how to use the Lucy Flex. The third time I us it, well I love the picture that this tool helped me complete. It's now in a display at our local library.I Hard to to that.

Wow.. it so cool .. did this from my computer. I set up the Lucy and draw from photos on the screen.. works pretty good.. It does take some practice and patience.. it’s Awsome that I can now orient myself to the drawing on the page. This is the biggest help.

I'm a beginner so Lucy is now my best friend Lucy has helped me up to draw my grandson and I'm quite happy with the result.

This wasn’t as easy to use or as helpful as I had hoped. I wouldn’t buy it if I had known the limitations of the product. Wasn’t worth it to me.

My wife was very excited this arrived as a late Christmas gift. She has used it a lot and opened another area of art for her to explore. Thank you!

I have watched the videos and I have read the directions but still I am unable to use this instrument in the way it was meant to be used. Gave it away to a budding artist that loves it.

First time user. I think with practice I will get better. Need to watch videos. Little challenging if you wear glasses.

Honestly, Lucy is amazing. I've recently started painting (over the last couple years) and I have always felt limited by not being a very decent drawer... think stick figure people. I joined an art class that made me feel better about sketching, and now that I've found this handy tool (despite the concept being around for a long time), I can sketch so much better! I don't have to print off every reference and I can use my surroundings! I'm really looking forward to taking this outside this spring. Awesome Christmas gift (from me to me)

Brilliant device, helps to draw things I find hard

First when I look through the lense I can’t seem to find the object I am drawing second I was supposed to get the photo lens and I haven’t received it

This tool is difficult for us to use. I can barely see my pencil when looking through the tool. We are in a well lit room when using the tool as well as the filters. We have tried various subjects and various positions for the subject we want to draw to no avail. We have watched all the videos and believe we have it set up correctly.

I drew a photo of a popular actress right from the monitor screen. Thanks LUCY!

I like it very much, but the storage bag was not sent with the Lucy flex and photo enlarger.

The Lucy drawing tool is somewhat of a pain to put together, but luckily that's covered in the videos. It's a little tricky to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes more intuitive. The picture I've attached is my second try to draw the owl coin, and while my tracing of it was far from perfect, it gave me enough of a base to get started in creating a more realistic drawing from the photo. Of the photos I chose to try with my Lucy this owl coin is the simplest. Once I'm done touching up the owl coin drawing I'll move on to gradually more complicated photos with more detail in them. I can't wait to see how my drawing progresses with the Lucy! Eventually I'd like to use it for painting, but I figured starting out simpler was the best bet.

Now that quickly and easily I get starting line drawing, finishing with drawing is more fun and better results. I found trying grey paper a challenge and Lucy made it possible

My Granddaughters loved it.

It took a little bit, but once we got the hang of the tool we couldn't stop. We've had it set up on our kitchen table for over a week now. I'm not a good drawer, like my significant other, but even I can trace a decent semblance of an object with the mylucy flex. When she uses it, it's like master's working

What a cool device! I haven't drawn in years, and want to try out painting. Within minutes I can now trace a subject and go straight to playing with colors, using the outline as a guide. Very happy!

Wow, I Love Lucy! I was excited to try my hand with the Lucy drawing tool. I was pleased with how easy that it was to setup and get started. It is amazing how simple it is to use. I drew a Stellar Jay from and old photo that I had laying around. My family was very impressed with the pencil drawing. I am now ready to try a live scene and maybe even get out the watercolors. This Lucy will definitely be getting lots of use in the future.

It takes a while to get used to on lining up your canvas with your art subject. But once you figure that out, the image comes out clear. I did learn that the lighting you have is important in capturing your image. Overall, I like it and look forward to do more projects with LUCY!

Very cool device.

My wife is very excited about this and can’t stop playing with it. She figured it out pretty quickly and seems to be using it daily. She’s the one that said 5 stars.

A well made product that enables you to accurately copy the main details of an object or scene. The Lucy will greatly enhance your artistic potential.

The Lucy is truly magical! I always had problems getting the scale of the various parts of my drawing right. Now what took me hours of frustration is done in minutes. I love it.

We bought this as a Christmas gift for a granddaughter. She will receive this on Christmas. We are hoping to get some artwork from her as well.

I used the Lucy tool to copy a drawing onto cloth. I do beading and it is very hard to trace on cloth. The picture is of the work in progress so you can see what I am talking about. I don't draw so it took some practice but well worth it. Now I don't have to ask anyone to draw for me anymore. Thank you for this great tool.

It’s taken my skill of drawing to a mother level , I really love the Lucy, I had ordered the neolucida but sent it back after comparing to the Lucy, the build quality was the main reason, I made the right choice hands down.

I bought this as a present for someone who lives with me. At Christmastime. And they shipped it to me in a branded box.

Absolutely love the Lucy! Sure makes life easier…and FASTER!

I am very satisfied with Lucy...I'm still trying to adjust to use it getting the lighting right and propositions right but I know I can get it going I just have to make adjustments but I know I can figure it out again I am 100% happy with using Lucy.

I think I will love it, but need better instructions, ones you can read, not watch. I still have not totally figured out how to use it??

I'm not really sure I love it. It's really hard to see where the tip of my pencil is. I've had better luck using a projector to trace. I haven't tried using it with a 3-D object. maybe it works better there.

A very handy tool . It took a few minutes to adjust so that I could see the pencil moving underneath but then it was smooth sailing . It is worth the time and money as an aid instead of the long grid process . I started a highlands yard sign with it. I’m very pleased

I was surprised to be able to draw an image of a framed picture, not just the still life. I’m very happy with this product.

LUCY flex has done so much to help me in achieving a minimalist line art style, and getting all the proportions right. I like line art, or line drawing, and LUCY flex is a great choice for me, sitting outdoors, even with just a clipboard and pencil. Once it's set up, it stays in place and almost disappears between me and the scene I'm trying to capture. Well done!

A useful drawing tool, however while the lenses help make the scene bright enough on the paper to draw, I find it difficult to see my hand and pencil to know whether I'm accurately drawing the image I'm seeing. My first attempts have not been successful, hopefully I'll get the hang of it in time.

After just a few tries, I was able to accurately sketch out proper proportions of line drawings. So far, copying from photographs 8x10 or 6x9... the same size of the drawing papers I am using.

Need more practice with it but I love it so far and can't wait to do more with it down the road.
